In the international comparison favorable participation fee of € 80.– (for participants in Austria and in the EU: +20% VAT) per wine sample and the awc vienna extra discount: If a wine producer submits 6 wine samples, 3 more wine samples are for free.
Producer Award (Star Winery Evaluation) of the AWC Vienna
By submitting a minimum of 6 wines, your winery also participates in the Producer Award (Star Winery Rating) of the AWC Vienna (see submission conditions). For the *****stars evaluation of wineries, the points of the six highest rated wines of a winery will be added up.

Absolute Blind Tasting
All wines will be tasted in single cabins and anonymously (blind tasting) by an international jury. This offers a fair chance for every wine!
The Tasting
The wines will be tasted at the Federal College and Office of Viniculture and Pomology in Klosterneuburg in single cabins and anonymously only (blind tasting). Wines will be rated according to the international 100 points-system. The panel of experts of awc vienna consists of national and international oenologists, wine experts, sommeliers, gastronomers, wine traders and journalists. The international jury of AWC Vienna 2023 comprised 216 wine experts from 14 nations.

awc vienna Wine Gala Night 2023
The awc vienna 2023-trophies, awards and the presentation of the best wineries will take place in the imperial ambiance of the Vienna City Hall in front of 3.000 invited wine professionals. On this evening, the Vienna City Hall advances to the center of the wine world.
Again awc vienna 2023 could sustain its position as the world’s largest officially recognized wine competition. This year 11.342 wines took part in this ambitious blind tasting. On 30 October the „Wine Gala Night 2022“, the ceremonial highlight of this exciting challenge, will be celebrated at the city hall of Vienna with some thousand Austrian and international guests.
In the center of attention are the successful wine producers from all over the world. All the invited wine experts are watching the awarding of the trophies of awc vienna 2023 and the presentation of AWC ONLINE.
